2006 Collectable Ornament: "The Age of Steam

Victor's Collectible Ornament

"Bit of History" series
The Age of Steam in Victor

The Loomis and Woodworth Company, founded by L.G. Loomis in the mid-1870s enjoyed entrepreneurial success thanks to the New York Central Railroad. With outbound access to many new distribution channels, Victor business owners prospered as products made their way into distant markets. The New York Central Railroad hauled produce, flour, coal, lumber, and Fred Locke's ceramic insulators, as well as provided passenger service. The age of steam brought railroad transportation to the area and enabled Victor, New York to grow and develop a strong commercial foundation.

For the 2006 ornament, we present our inspiring railroad history in a meaningful, uniquely designed collectible ornament. Created with a solid brass foundation, this 24K gold plated piece has been custom manufactured using today's top technology and superb craftsmanship. Offered as the second of four ornaments in the Victor History Collection, they promise to capture the essence of our town's nostalgia.

Each piece measures 3.25" wide by 2.7" high, beautifully packaged in a presentation gift box and equipped with ribbon for hanging. Included in the gift box will be a written historical journal of the image displayed and a numbered certificate of origin. For the Age of Steam ornament, we have recreated the stock certificate
